Incoming licensed cosmetologists start as apprentices and are promoted to higher-level stylists through training, proven proficiency, years of experience, and client demand. With each promotion, earning potential increases, allowing stylists to earn more for their services as they advance.
Apprenticeship Program
Licensed but looking for mentorship and professional development? Twirl Salon’s paid apprenticeship program is your first step to becoming a top hair stylist.
As an Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on training, assist experienced stylists, and learn directly from our founder—while getting paid. You’ll also help with salon upkeep, ensuring a seamless client experience.
Once you’ve mastered the basics—blowouts, hot tool styling, gloss applications, and chemical treatments—you’ll be promoted to Emerging Stylist, ready to take your own clients. The speed of your progress depends entirely on your dedication and skill, with most apprentices completing the program in 1-2 years.
